Budget planning for 2009-2010
Last night, the School Board received two draft proposals for the 2009-2010 school year operating budget. Both proposals use conservative approaches to balancing the budget, reflecting the realities of today’s challenging economy. We hope you will weigh in with your ideas about how to balance the budget by participating in several community input opportunities.

Maple Grove Senior High production earns Hennepin Theater Trust's SpotLight Musical Program honors
The Maple Grove Senior High fall musical, “The Will Rogers Follies” has taken honors in the Hennepin Theater Trust’s SpotLight Musical Program. The production earned “Outstanding Performance by a Chorus Ensemble”, and “Outstanding Performance by a Dance Ensemble.” Actors Jenna Boroughs and John Neumann were each recognized for “Outstanding Performance in a Leading Role.”

North View team takes third at Future City competition
North View Junior High IB World School’s “Goalden Sunville” team earned third place at the Regional Future City Competition held at St. Thomas University in late January. The team also received the “Most Innovative City Setting” award, sponsored by the 3M Foundation, for locating their city on the Planet Dihn in the Andromeda galaxy.
