Several schools in Osseo Area Schools will host multicultural events this spring. These events are free to attend and are open to families and community members.
Fair Oaks Elementary
Thursday, May 18 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
Families and community members are invited to Fair Oaks Elementary on May 18 for the school’s Multicultural Night. Events include a fashion show, music presentations highlighting different cultures, and more. Light appetizers will also be served.
Garden City Elementary
Thursday, May 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
As one of the school’s largest events of the year, Garden City Elementary is pulling out all the stops for its 2017 Multicultural Night. Attendees can participate in art projects to make their own Korean fan, Andean pan flute, or hamsa—a good luck hand popular throughout the Middle East and North Africa. The Brooklyn Park Lions Drum and Dance team will also perform, and a community fashion show, multicultural bookstore, wheel of culture and food tasting will keep attendees busy throughout the night.
Osseo Middle School
2nd Annual Multicultural Family Night
Thursday, May 18 from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Osseo Middle’s 2nd Annual Multicultural Night will feature a fashion show, food vendors, student performances, music, raffle prizes, and much more. The schedule includes student performances (5:30-5:50 p.m.), student awards (5:50-6:10 p.m.), community performances (6:10-6:30 p.m.) and an orchestra concert (7:00 p.m.). Download an event flyer.

2nd Annual Multicultural Fair
Thursday, May 25 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

North View Middle IB School
One World, Many Stories Celebration
Thursday, May 25 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.
North View Middle International Baccalaureate World School’s “One World, Many Stories” celebration will be held May 25. Families and community members are invited to attend the event where they can sample food from different countries, recognize students’ academic achievements from the year, and view a showcase of student performances.
