Welcome to the Osseo Area Schools Alternative Teacher Professional Pay System web page. In conjunction with the state of Minnesota, ISD #279 has participated in the state’s Quality Compensation Plan since the 2006 – 2007 school year. The overview below will inform you of the program’s basic components. A more comprehensive description can be found in the Performance Appraisal System for Licensed Staff handbook.
Overview of Alternative Teacher Professional Pay System (ATPPS)
Components of ATPPS
The performance-based compensation for District 279 is divided into the areas of the Performance Increment, Professional Growth Plan, Student Learning Goal and Site Goal. All licensed staff will receive a minimum of three evaluations each year. Probationary staff should refer to page 11 for clarification regarding their evaluations.
A Performance Increment will be awarded at the beginning of each school year, provided the licensed staff member met Osseo Performance Appraisal Standards during the previous year.
The Professional Growth Plan, Student Learning Goal and Site Goal stipends will be awarded at the end of each school year provided the licensed staff member and site have achieved the designated goals.
Observation and Compensation Summary
Performance Increment (Evaluation/Observation #1): A formal evaluation by a Site Administrator (High Cycle) or a formal observation by an Instructional Coach (Off Cycle). Refer to current employee contracts .
Professional Growth Plan (Observation #2 and #3): Two (2) observations conducted by an Instructional Coach to determine if licensed staff has demonstrated successful implementation and progress on their approved Professional Growth Plan. Stipend Portion for completion of Professional Growth Plan: $1800.
Student Learning Goal: Each licensed staff will work with an Instructional Coach to determine achievement of Student Learning Goal. Stipend Portion for achievement of Student Learning Goal: $225.
Site Goal: Site Administrator(s) will determine whether or not the site has met the Site Goal set forth by the school’s Site Improvement Plan. Stipend Portion for achievement of Site Goal: $225.
