The School Board is comprised of six members elected at large by the residents
of the district in November of even-numbered years. Members serve alternating
four-year terms. The major functions of the School Board include to provide
educational leadership, develop policies, plan for new schools and upgrading
of facilities, levy taxes, and adopt and control the budget. The Board appoints
the superintendent and delegates the authority and responsibility to
administer the school district. The superintendent serves as an ex-officio
member of the Board.
