Physical therapy in the educational setting assists in promoting the students ability to learn in the home and classroom setting. The physical therapist (PT) helps each student through positioning, mobility, interaction and engagement with peer, and the training of parents, teacher and staff. The PT staff works with the birth to  Pre K-12 community integration programs and are intricately involved with the helping develop each students individual family service plan (IFSP), individual educational plan (IEP) and the community integration program after high school. The PT’s work closely with families and teachers to prepare, enhance and ready the child for their school setting and integration into the community.
